“We’ve got the butter”

The title refers to Antonio Pierce’s response after the game, in which he references TO’s ‘bring your popcorn’ comment prior to the Cowboys-Pats (TO-Moss) battle earlier in the season.  I thought it pretty clever, for a linebacker :)

Speaking of TO, he got a little emotional, so if you have not seen it, click here.  Nice to know he always has his QB’s back, except when he is questioning his sexuality (Garcia) or his intestinal fortitude (McNabb).

I also thought this article on Jessica Simpson at the game — actually a Seattle based look alike (which of my loyal reader is coming to visit) was pretty funny.  However, the best thing I read was that Jessica Simpson’s father went to Mexico too.  OK, what a freeloader.  And where did he sleep?  She sleep?  If it were not for Lynne Spears (Britney’s mom), this guy would be parent of the year.

Well, I got 3 of 4 on the picks.  Still rather perplexed how Indy lost in general, but much less to a Norv Turner coached team that was missing LDT and Rivers for half or a quarter of the game, respectively, and had an injured Antonio Gates.  I got home and heard the announcer say SD was without LaDanian and Rivers and figured the score was 31-3; then I see it was 21-17 Bolts in the 4th.  Billy Volek — get him in your fantasy league fast.

While my friend Paul did pick the SD upset, it must be said that Rodrigo, at two years of age, also did.  I asked him who would win — San Diego or Indianapolis.  He said Diego (OK, he said Gogo).  Now the skeptical among you will accuse him of choosing the Chargers because he is a big fan of Diego the Animal Rescuer.  Perhaps true, but he won nonetheless.

We will check his picks for later this week to see if he rides the Bolts into Gillette.

Me, I  figure Pats and Packers in SBXLII.  Although less convinced that the Pack cannot be upset.
